Welcome to The White Building, London’s new cultural venue focusing on innovation and creative practice at the intersection of art, technology and sustainability.

Run by SPACE, the building is a a creative lab with studio space for practicing artists, a residency space, an event space and the fantastic Crate Brewery & Pizzeria. It will be a place where practice and programmes sit side-by-side, with a mix of facilities and tenants, places to work, places to meet, places to eat, and great location, that we think will stimulate exciting creative innovation.

The aims for the building are to:

- Support, showcase and sustain the existing creative economy of the area, alongside international practice
- Maintain the profile of the area as a leading creative cluster
- Ensure art and artists are at the heart of future development in the area and the legacy of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park
- Engage local residential and school communities

The White Building fit out (designed by David Kohn Architects with Exploration Architecture), has been funded by the London Legacy Development Corporation, as a key part of the arts led strategy for the legacy of the Olympic Park and surrounding area. SPACE sponsor Bloomberg is funding the Permacultures residencies and the People Power schools programme at the building under the innovative Bloomberg ON collaboration.
